Graceful Names publishes quotes, wishes, blessings, messages and captions for American readers. This page explains how we create, verify and update that content.
1. Original writing
Wishes, blessings, sympathy messages, captions and sayings on this site are written by our editors unless a named author is credited. We write for specific relationships and occasions and do not copy lists from other websites.
2. How we verify famous quotes
- We trace each famous quote to its original source — a book, poem, play, speech, letter, transcript or recorded interview — and cite it under the quote.
- Bible verses are quoted from the King James Version (KJV) with book, chapter and verse unless another translation is named.
- If a popular quote cannot be confirmed, we leave it out or label it “commonly attributed.”
- We only quote short passages and credit the author; we do not reproduce song lyrics or long copyrighted passages.
3. Sensitive topics
Sympathy, grief, remembrance, mental-health and faith collections are written with care and a respectful tone. Our content is not medical, legal or professional advice.
4. Images
Featured images and quote cards on Graceful Names are original graphics created for this site. Each image includes descriptive alt text for accessibility.
5. Updates and corrections
Seasonal collections are reviewed before each holiday, and every page shows the date it was last updated. If you find an error, please contact us; an editor reviews every correction request and updates the page when needed.
6. Who is responsible
All content is written or reviewed by John Moler, editor of Graceful Names. Learn more on our About page.
